As we end June and put our sights towards July.
I was checking my calendar for July this morning and I thought wow God it is already going to be the 7th month into this year! I pondered on what had been accomplished up to this point in 2023. Much time has been pursued in simplifying things around the spa.
As we are going to finish out 2023 in our 5th year in business as Adonai Spa & Wellness there is much on the horizon. I feel as though we as whole nation are getting out of the pandemic funk that it was that we are feeling the tug at our hearts to slow down, simply because during the pandemic we really had to slow down, embrace family, and a more simplified way of life... self-awareness and self-care. This is where our business comes into play. We have and are pioneering a experience that takes our guests away to time with the original author of self-care Jesus. Luke 5:16 comes to mind which speaks of Jesus withdrawing to desolate places to pray. Throughout the Bible it speaks of self-care
and gives us wise instruction how to do it Gods way. A few passages to meditate on as we all spend our summer taking time for self-care as often as we can.
Eph. 2:10
1 Corinthians 3:16
Isaiah 64:8
Psalm 46:5
Ultimately caring for our bodies and minds should not come from a pursuit of our own comfort and pleasure, but from an act of worship and submission to God. Paul reminds us of this in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Literally that our bodies are not our own; they were bought with a price to be temples of the Holy Spirit.
So with all of this in mind, know that we were lead to create this spa unto the Lord because He himself inspired and breathed on the dream in our hearts to do so.
It is in sheer obedience to be using our hands, giftings and space to glorify him alone.
All the while serving his sons and daughters to have a refuge away from life's daily hustle. We sincerely pray you will come and take care of yourself very soon, so you can continue to do the work he has ultimately created you to do, for such a time as this.
